United Nation works through the United Nations Development group and at this point the country office in Lebanon will be most active and will be considering the possibility of awarding projects/ proposal for Humanitarian relief. Over the weekend UN has approved 140 million dollar package for relief work in Lebanon. Organization like World Vision and Red Cross will be submitting their project proposals as annexure to this aid Package. Personally I think we would be better off at this juncture working with World Vision or Red Cross. Alternatively, organization within United Nation like UNOCHA ( Lebanon chapter) will be working on Sub-contracting relief work and similarly UNHCR will be working on refugee resettlement programs. I would think these would be other avenues to explore.
